Money SpendOptic is a money-manager app for Android. This page explains what the app does with your data. The short version: your money data stays on your phone, and we do not run a server that collects it.
Your accounts, transactions, categories, notes, photos you attach and settings are saved only on your device. We never receive them. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes them.
You can save a backup file on your phone. If you choose Google Drive, the backup is sent to your own Google Drive account using your Google sign-in. It is stored in your Drive, not on our servers, and we cannot read it.
The app asks Google for one permission only: the drive.file scope. It lets the app see only the backup files
it created itself, and nothing else in your Drive. You can remove this access at any time in your Google Account
(Security › Third-party access) or by signing out in the app.
If you turn on the computer page, your phone shows its data to a browser on the same Wi-Fi network. The data goes directly between your phone and your computer. It does not pass through the internet or our servers.
The app shows ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address and similar device information to show and measure ads. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Premium is bought through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment: we never see or store your card or payment details. Google tells the app whether your purchase or subscription is active, and the app keeps that status on your phone. Your purchases are also covered by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms.
The app uses Google Play to ask for a store review and to check for and install app updates. Google may process device and usage information to do this, under its own privacy policy.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to count how the app is used, for example which features are opened. It does not send your transactions, amounts, account names or notes. Firebase may collect an app instance ID and device information such as model, Android version, country and language. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics starts only after you agree in the consent form.
The app can also receive tips and news from us through Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn this off in Settings › Tips and news. See Firebase privacy information.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice later in Settings › Privacy choices.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We do not sell your data. Apart from AdMob ads, Firebase, Google Play (Billing, reviews and updates) and the Google Drive backup you choose (all described above), the app shares nothing with third parties.
Because your data is only on your phone (and your own Drive backup, if you made one), you control it: delete transactions in the app, clear the app's storage, uninstall it, or delete the backup file from your Drive.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated.
